ATA 36 Pneumatic Bleed Systems Flashcards
To which systems do the pneumatic bleed air deliver?
- ECS
- Cabin pressurisation system
- The leading edge de-icing system
When does the HP bleed air valve close?
At 76 psi
At which temperature does the pressure regulating/shutoff valve and the HP valve close?
If the temperature exceeds 288°C
At which pressure does the pressure regulating/shutoff valve and the HP valve close?
43,5 psi
What is the minimum line pressure to open the X-valve?
10 psi
Where is the control switch panel 13VU located?
In the flight compartment overhead panel
How is bleed air leak detected in the wings?
By a dual loop sensing element (fire wire) on each side
How is the fire wire supplied with power?
From the 28 VDC LH or RH Main Bus
How can you test the sensing element (fire wire)?
By using the BLD LEAK switch on TEST 1 panel
Where is the bleed air detector control unit located?
Under the cabin floor
How many Volts does the fire wire use?
9V
What is the fire wire made of?
A stainless steel capillary with a coaxial nickel centre wire.the space between the centre wire and the inside of the capillary is filled with a temperature sensitive material.
How is the manual temp mode operated?
By adjusting the dual temp control valve mechanically
Through which valve is automatic pressurisation adjusted?
An electro pneumatic outflow valve located in the rear pressure bulkhead
How can the pilots control pressurisation manually?
They can switch to MAN-mode on pressurisation control panel to use the pneumatic outflow (safety) valve. PRESS DUMP in case of aircraft overpressurisation
