Earth Revolves around the sun and its own axis, earth wobbles, he died before his ideas had a great impact

As no longer could man consider himself the centre of the universe, or that the universe revolved around man.

A
Milky way had many individual stars, Jupiter had 4 moons, our moon had a rough surface, he believed that theories with no scientific proving should be an article of faith

How did the church respond to Galileo’s discoveries?
A
His writings were censored, and he was forced to renounce his theories and was sent udner house arrest for the rest of his life.
