Q

What is the mechanism of action of salbutamol

A

stimulates B2 receptors on airway smooth muscle. Causes

  • direct bronchodilation
  • mast cell membrane stabilisation (inhibits release of inflammatory mediators)
  • doesn’t have anti-inflammatory porperties.
