-sit PT up, give O2, get Iv access and take bloods, ABG, CRP/sputum/blood cultures if sepsis suspected, htne OHSITME
what other investigations can be done after the initial ones?
CXR- exclude pneumonia
what kind of hypersensitivity reaction is asthma?
type 1- IgE mediated
which types of cells are released in asthma attack?
mast cells- release histamine, prostaglandins, leukotriens
macrophages
eosinophils
what is the asthmatic triad?
SOB
Wheeze
cough- worse at night
