Located on the banks of the Tigris River. Although once under Babylonian rule, they grew their own independent state and expanded their land to the lower section of Mesopotamia, Persia, the Sinai Peninsula, Syria, and along the Southeast coast of the Meditteranean Sea.

The Assyrians didn’t have a specific religion that they followed. There were multiple temples. The Assyrians worshipped the old Babylonian gods but were more loyal to worshipping their god, Assur.
