A

Imagery- descriptions with diction of connections with vermin, derogatory to describe people= paints police as evil and corrupted. =swarming cockroaches

Increases in pace= longer length in sentences and enjambement = emphasises crowd of tightly packed attack of police

3rd stanza they came running…

A

Repetition: they came running - a significant detail as if they were attacking, symbolic detail. We don’t know who they is effective to view them for their actions and not give them benefit of the doubt.

Line breaks: slows down pace an forces reader to consider the detail and weight of that situation

King: pun-contextual marker put also emphasises authority and the speakers devotion. Extended: aside from poem: emphasise to separate king from the attack

Double hyphen: a broken en dash
