What is Digital Transformation?
Digital transformation occurs when an organization successfully transitions all its activities to a digital set up. Fully digitalized companies benefit from enhanced capabilities to collect and store clients data, and can therefore gain a better understanding of their customer’s needs when compared to traditional
businesses.
Advantages:
* Digital businesses leverage increased flexibility both from an employee and customer perspective.
* A digital organization can easily allow its workers
to work partially or fully from remote, while its customer can easily access and purchase the offered products and services with their computer or mobile phones.

Traditional organizations are characterized by a strong physical presence and aim to serve customers at a local level by selling their products and services through classic brick and mortar stores.
Traditional and digital organizations also differ in the type of costs they incur to sustain their operations.

* Digital business: high expenses associated to software maintenance, oline ads, and search engine optimization (SEO).
