Mini Mental Status Exam
A
- Up to 30, 30-25= normal, 24-20= mild, 20-13= moderate, 13-0 = severe
Cognitive screening tool
Examines orientation (time and place), immediate and delayed recall, attention and calculation, language and visuospatial ability
Useful for quantitatively estimating the serenity of cog impairment and documenting cognitive changes
Good test- retest reliability
Sensitive and specific

Quick screening, combines recall with clock draw, sensitivity and specificty are strong

rapid screening for MCI, assesses attention and concentration, EF, memory, language etc. 26 and above = normal, lower = MCI

A
If they cant wash their hands you cant go any further
Looks at how much assistance you need
18 = MAX
Higher the score the more assistance needed
