What are the problems with ageing?
- Pressure on health care
- A need for care homes
- More pensions needed
- Fewer economically active
- Less tax as there are less people to pay tax
What are the problems with youthful populations?
- More schools needed
- In the future, these children will be parents leading to more strain on health services
- Fewer people working
- Less tax as there are less people working and therefore less people paying tax
How do governments manage the population?
Governments have to manage their countries and populations if they become too big or small or if they have too many old people and too many young people.
China- anti-natalist
- Too many young people
- Introduced the One Child Policy
- Fined people who had more than one child
- Some women were sterilised
- Childcare were offered to couples who only had one child
Singapore- Pro-natalist
- Not enough children and too many elderly
- Helping single people find a partner by providing social opportunities
- Paid child before working parents

Is a very convenient form of energy that can be generated using different energy resources.
What is renewable energy?
Renewable energy is energy that is infinite and will never run out.
What is non-renewable energy?
Fossil fuels are non-renewable because they will run out one day.

Examples of renewable energy;
Hydroelectric energy
Wind power
Solar power
Geothermal energy
Fossil fuel-
A fossil fuel is a natural fuel formed by the remains of pants or animals.
Sustainability-
Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs.
Global warming-
A gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere because of an increased level of carbon dioxide and other pollutants.
