Indirect assault?

A

Where force is not applied directly to the victim

E.g., A tried to enter a room containing B, the victim. B locked the door and refused A entry. A threatened to force the door which he then proceeded to. As a result B jumped out the window severely injuring themselves.

A was charged and convicted of indifect assault because B’s injuries were caused by a direct result of A’s actions.

Conditional assault?

A

A threat of an assault is made unless one complies with a condition.

A threatens To assault B and accompanies the threat with an act or gesture. But A says to B: “you won’t be assaulted if you leave the property.”
