What is a Competency?
The combined utilization of knowledge, skills, and personal attributes to effectively perform a job, role, task or duty

- Information and its application within a domain
- Facts, methods, practices
Skills
- Abilities developed through training and practice
- Problem solving, communication…
Attributes
- Inherent personal qualities
- Adaptability, self-awareness
Identify, describe, and apply the competency of adaptability
Adaptability: Improve and demonstrate flexibility to move forward
Accepting that change will be required
Being open-minded and not clinging to the way you’ve always done things
Recognizing that different courses require different approaches
Handling negative assessment results
Accepting/owning the result
Understanding the result reflects performance, not effort
Seeking feedback for improvement in learning and applying the learning to future assessments
