SUMMARY

A

1 *Discriminative touch, vibration, proprioception carried mostly by A-beta fibres via PCML to CONTRALATERAL VPL of thalamus, then to corresponding postcentral cortex.

2 * TRIGEMINOTHALAMIC tracts terminate in VPM of thalamus.

3 * Pain & temperature mostly carried by A-delta & C fibres via ANTEROLATERAL PATHWAY TO CONTRALATERAL VPL of thalamus, then to corresponding area of postcentral cortex.

4 * SPINOCEREBELLAR tracts convey proprioceptive info by A- alpha, A-beta & A-delta fibres to IPSILATERAL CEREBELLUM
