Explain how ASB impacts the community
- Fear of continued crime
- Vulnerability and fear of a repeat attack

- Lack of faith in the police/other responsible authorities
Explain what is a repeat victim
An individual that has been the subject of 3 similar occurrences of Anti-Social behaviour within the last 3 months
Explain what is a vulnerable victim
‘An individual that has been subject to an ASB Risk Assessment, and who has beenrecorded as medium or high risk for which there is a Vulnerable Victim Action Plan (VVAP) in place
Explain what is a community trigger
The Community Trigger, gives victims the ability to demand action, starting with a review of their case, where the locally defined threshold is met.
Explain what is a community remedy
The Community Remedy, gives victims a say in the out-of-court punishment of perpetrators for low-level crime and anti-social behaviour.
Explain the ‘Enhanced Powers’ that are available to deal with ASB
- The dispersal power - Can be used by a Police officer or a PCSO. Used to make an ASB offender or potential offender leave an area for up to 48 hrs to breach this order is a criminal offence.
- The closure power - Close premises which are being used, or likely to be used, to commit nuisance or disorder. Breach is a criminal offence.
- Community protection notice - To stop persistent anti-social individuals, businesses or organisation. Breach is a criminal offence.
- Public spaces protection order - Protects public spaces from persistent Anti-Social individuals or groups.
- Absolute grounds for possession - can be used by landlords to evict tenants where ASB or criminality has already been proven by another court

offenders. Issued by a criminal court for any criminal offence
