A

Patient w/ severe systemic disease that constantly threatens life
Recent < 3mos MI, CVA, TIA, or CAD, ongoing cardiac ischemia, severe valve dysfunction, shock, sepsis, DIC, ARDS, ESRD

A

Moribound patient not expected to survive w/o the operation
Ruptured abdominal/thoracic aneurysm, massive trauma, intracranial bleed, ischemic bowel w/ significant cardiac pathology, multiple organ/system dysfunction
