AS350 Emergency Check Sheet Flashcards
ENG P
Engine oil pressure below minimum- LAND ASAP
FIRE.
During start
Close fuel shutoff valve, fuel pump switch off, crank for 10 seconds battery off.
FIRE
Hover takoff or landing
Land immediately
After landing close fuel shutoff lever, fuel pumps off, crank 10 seconds, battery off
FIRE
Inflight
Enter autorotation, close fuel shutoff, fuel pump off, generator off
Mayday call
After landing battery off
FIRE
If there's a burning smell
MASTER SW off
After landing battery off
HYD
Hydraulic pressure low
If close to spot, land normally, before accumulators depleted
All other situations airspeed 40-60 kts, switch off collective HYD switch, land ASAP
MGBP
Pressure below minimum
Reduce power, Land ASAP
MGBT
Main gearbox temp above max
Test caution light
If MGBP does not work land ASAP
A/F fuel filter
Reduce power
If F FILTER on or not working land ASAP
If F FILTER works but not on continue flight
If Fuel P doesn't work and gauge is zero continue flight below 5000ft
Engine oil pressure<1.8bar& NG>85,%
Test warning
If ENG P doesn't work land ASAP
If ENG P works and not on and torque is good land as soon as practicable
Engine oil temp above red line
Land if possible, shut down engine check level, check if fan works and intake obstructed
If landing not possible 80kts, reduced power.
If temp not drop land ASAP.
Engine surging or low power
Possible malfunctioning bleed valve
If engine surges as power reduced and flag not visible when NG below values on bleed valve table, avoid sudden power changes
Fuel pressure gauge<0.4bar
Test warning
If F FILTER is on or not working land ASAP
If works and not on, gauge has failed, continue flight.
Fuel pressure gauge at zero
Test warning
If Fuel P on or not working both pumps have failed, descend below 5000ft, continue flight
If Fuel P works & not on gauge has failed, continue flight.
Governor failure
Noticable drop or increase in NR or engine surging
NR low NG< 70% low side failure, enter autorotation 65kts, increase NG to 70 with fuel flow control, set NR at 350 with collective, advance NR with fuel flow control to lower green arc 380. Land as soon as practicable.
NR, NG, T4 & torque all high, high side failure, do not lower collective reduce fuel flow so NR is middle of green arc, maintain with collective and fuel control land as soon as practicable
