Q

Governor failure
Noticable drop or increase in NR or engine surging

A

NR low NG< 70% low side failure, enter autorotation 65kts, increase NG to 70 with fuel flow control, set NR at 350 with collective, advance NR with fuel flow control to lower green arc 380. Land as soon as practicable.
NR, NG, T4 & torque all high, high side failure, do not lower collective reduce fuel flow so NR is middle of green arc, maintain with collective and fuel control land as soon as practicable

16
Q

Engine surging as power reduced

A

May be caused by bleed valve not opening at lower collective settings, flag not visible. Adjust collective pitch.
If surging persist and fuel and oil pressure good. Slightly reduce fuel flow to just below governed range land as soon as practicable
Surging still, land ASAP

17
Q

Hydraulic system failure
Seizure or uncommanded movement of cyclic

A

If control cannot be maintained switch off collective HYD switch, land ASAP
If control can be maintained 40-60kts collective HYD switch off land ASAP.

18
Q

NG indicator failure

A

Do not exceed torque limits, limit T4 as per chart

19
Q

NR & NF needles do not match in flight

A

If NR is incorrect maintain trq>10%, use NF
If NF is incorrect use NR,
continue flight

20
Q

Servo transparency

A

Due to high speed, pitch, gross weight or higher G loads.
Uncommanded right cyclic and down collective.
Allow collective to drop, to releave forces, smoothly counteract right cyclic.
