16
Q

Electrical system limits

A

Normal: 26v~29v
Max: 31.5v @ 150A

17
Q

Slope limitations

A

10 deg nose up
6 deg nose down
8 deg lateral

18
Q

Autorotation

A

65 kts flare @ 65 ft agl

19
Q

Low side gov failure

A

Establish autorotation 65 kts, advance fuel control to 70% Ng, raise collective to 350 rrpm, advance fuel control to 380 rrpm & continue flight

20
Q

High side gov failure

A

Do not reduce collective, reduce fuel control until rrpm in mid green arc, continue flight.
For both gov failure, establish shallow approach @ 65 kts with rrpm at the top of green arc, cushion landing with collective allowing rrpm to droop. After touchdown reduce fuel control before collective pitch

21
Q

Surging

A

Reduce collective, if surging persists reduce fuel control below governed range, if surging persists LASAP & shut down engine

22
Q

Tail rotor drive failure in flight

A

Reduce power & maintain A/S for weathercock effect. Perform autorotation to suitable landing site

23
Q

Tail rotor control failure in flight

A

Reduce power & maintain 70 kts. Depress HYD test swich 5 sec. Shallow approach to suitable site w/ nose to the right of centerline & perform run on landing.

24
Q

Eng oil pressure gauge low or 0

A

Press to test lights.

  • If ENG P light does not illuminate:
  • check torque gauge.
  • If torque gauge low, shut down engine.
  • If torque gauge normal LASAP.

If light illuminates:

  • check torque gauge.
  • If low, LASAP.
  • If normal LASAPractical, monitor ENG P light.
25
Q

Engine oil temp above 115 deg

A

At low speed or hover, land if possible.
If landing impossible, increase A/S to 80 kts. If no decrease in temp LASAP.
In flight reduce power if proceed as above

26
Q

Ng indicator failure

A

Contonue flight, maintain T4 below 750 deg

27
Q

Torque meter failure

A

Continue flight, maintain Ng below 98%

28
Q

MGB P light illuminates in flight

A

LASAP

29
Q

MGB T light illuminates in flight

A

Press to test lights, if MGB P light does not illuminate, LASAP. If light illuminates, land and check MGB oil level. If normal, proceed to nearest base

30
Q

ENG P light illuminates in flight

A

Check eng press gauge. If low, check torque gauge. If low, shut down engine. If normal, Land immediately. If eng pressure gauge and torque meter normal, land as soon as possible

31
Q

GEN light illuminates in flight

A

Reset GEN switch, if light doesn’t go out, switch off unnecessary electrical, LASApractical, 22v minimum (NiCad battery only)

32
Q

FUEL light illuminates in flight

A

Avoid large attitude changes. 18 min fuel remains

33
Q

ENG CHIP light illuminates in flight

A

LASAP

34
Q

F FILT light illuminates in flight

A

Reduce power, if light goes out continue flight at reduced power. If light does not go out, LASAP

35
Q

CHIP TGB light illuminates in flight

A

Continue flight, avoid prolonged hovering

36
Q

MGB CHIP light illuminates in flight

A

Land ASAP

37
Q

FUEL P light illuminates in flight

A

Check fuel pressure. If normal, one pump has failed-continue flight. If pressure zero both pumps have failed-continue flight below 5000 ft

38
Q

Bleed valve flag does not appear below specified NG value

A

Bleed valve stuck closed. Avoid sudden power variations-engine surging may result.
