Art for Good in Singapore makes use of visual art to improve mental health in participants. research has found that making art can activate reward pathways in the brain, reducing stress, lowering anxiety levels and improving moods. Furthermore, Singapore is a regional leader in art therapy, with 19 qualified art therapists having graduated from the lasalle art therapy training program and demand for their services has been on the rise since the pandemic.
According to MOE, arts education provides an avenue for students to develop self and social awareness and appreciate the unique singaporean forms of expression that are anchored on national values as well as understand and appreciate cultures and traditions beyond Singapore.

Rather than arts, Singaporeans themselves believe that safety, infrastructure, cleanliness, standard of education and standard of healthcare were the 5 most notable characteristics of Singapore, and local food, world class service and HDBs were considered the most important to the Singaporean identity.
