> small pear shaped depression on supra lateral aspect of scapula
Covered in hyaline cartilage (thicker at periphery)
1/3 the size of the humeral head but deepened by fibrocartilage labrum

Covered in hyaline cartilage (thickest centrally)
sits on v short anatomical neck
