What is the title of Article 5?
Duties and Responsibilities
What is the difference between a duty and a responsibility?
Duty - what must be done according to the law (an act a member is obliged to do)
Responsibility - involves acting on your own will (an act where the limitations of the member is taken to account)
A duty cannot be passed on or adjusted, while the responsibility can be (we have freewill to not do our responsibilites, but it is an act the results from the members sense of being responsible)
What is stated in Article V, Section 1?
It is shall be the duty of every member to uphold this Constitution
Why should we uphold this Constitution
because this is the framework of the organization
What is stated in Article V, Section 2?
It shall be the duty of every member to attend and actively participate in all meeting of any appropriate body and all other activities of the organization
What are some examples of meetings in Section 2?
General Assembly
Committee Meetings
EB Meetings
What are the appropriate bodies in Article V, Section 2?

What is stated in Article V, Section 3?
It shall be the duty of every memeber to belong to a Standing Committee where they are most qualified in, except for those in the following positions to wit: a. President b. Vice President
Why are they called Standing Committees?
dahil sila ay active all-year round
What are other committees that are not part of the Standing Committees? Why are they not part?
Ad Hocs
Constitution Committee
Committee on Elections
not active, or functions only for a certain period of time (ex: Constitution Committee - functions only for constitution revision, Committe on Elections - functions only during elections)
Example of Ad Hocs Committees?
Stat-Cha, Stat Wars, Anniv Night, Alumni Relations
Why are the President and Vice President not part of any committee?
for less workload and avoid bias
How to be part of a Standing Committee
every semester, a member would be allowed to choose their top 3 choices for committee
although may choice ka ng top 3 committees, hindi guaranteed na yun ung makukuha mo or doon mabe-belong sa committe na un since there might be hidden potential in other committees na hindi nakikita ng member mismo that can be seen by other members
Who is designated to assign committee to the members? What are their responsibility?
Executive Body
As much as possible the EB tries to equally distribute the no. of members in each committee for equal manpower
What is stated in Article V, Section 4?
It shall be the responsibility of every member to perform to the best of their ability, within their capacity, any task which may bbe assigned tot hem by any approrpiate body of the organization
