Allen’s test
To check the competency of blood flow of the ulnar and radial arteries . It’s done by blocking both ulnar and radial artery then randomly releasing any of the arteries to check the blood flow. If the ulnar artery is released and after some time the hand return to its normal color then it implies the ulnar artery is competent enough to supply blood to the entire palm and the same implication vice versa for the radial artery. If tested negative on either artery, surgery is not advisable
