what is the racist aesthetic?
-does have people of color, but represents them in the wrong ways/never in their full humanity
what are the 3 ways that racial domination is misrepresented?
1) through the whitewashing of their history (ex. movies: The Help)
2) pretending that racial domination doesnt exist (ex. hunger games)
3) depicting racism as a psychological issue
what is the anti-racist aesthetic?
-generally equal representation for all racial groups and sheds light on true histories and current realities of racial domination; corrects the distorted representations

found that white characters received more positive treatment than black characters
