how the role of the artist changed in the renaissance
At beginning you have a patron and an exact idea of what they want and hire artists to do this but over time the relationship between the patron and the artist changes and lets them have more freedom and allows them to use their creativity
reasons why Martin Luther objected to the Catholic Church
general opulence of the church, didn’t like the transactional aspect of the church, didn’t like indulgences
Protestant Reformation

Indulgences
a grant by the Pope of remission of the temporal punishment in purgatory still due for sins after absolution
Counter-reformation
the Catholic Church’s response to the Protestant Reformation (made everything even more opulent)
