Arrythmia Flashcards
Rythms that are not that dangerous
Benign rythms
Normal PQRST waves
Heart rate: <60/min
Sinus bradycardia
Normal PQRST waves
Rate : >100/min
Sinus tachycardia
P wave different in configuration
PR interval long
QRS narrow
Premature atrial contraction
Wide, bixarre looking QRS complex
No receding P wave usually
T wave opposite in direction
Complete compensatory pause after premature beat
Premature ventricular contraction
No P wave
No QRST
SA node not firing
Sinus arrest or sinus pause
PR interval >0.20 sec
Normal P wave
No normal PR segment and interval
Normal QRST
First degree AV block
Gradually increasing PR interval
Followed by a drop beat
2nd degree AV block Mobitz I
Normal PR intervals followed by a drop beat
2nd degree AV block Mobitz II
PQRS present
Av conduction ratio is 3:1
Daghan p waves
High grade AV block
Complete av block
Impulse both originate at SA nodes
P waves not related to QRST
Atrial rate greater than V
Third degree AV block
Tachycardia with narrow QRS complex
Sudden onset and termination
No P waves
Supraventricular tachycardia
Rate slow
QRS narrow
P wave follows QRS or inverted
Junctional rythm
Impulse ventricular in origin
Absence of upright P wave
T wave opposite in direction to QRS
Rate is <40/min
Idioventricular rythm
Saw tooth
Atrial flutter
