Arithmetic Flashcards
Integer
Any whole number (not a fraction or decimal) e.g. 1,2,3,-1,-2,-3
Even integer
Integer when divided by 2 gives you another integer
Odd integer
Integer when divided by 2 gives you a noninteger
Real number
Any number on the number line (e.g. 1, 2, pi, etc)
Divisor or factor
Divisor is a positive integer that can divide into n without creating a remainder
Multiple
Multiple of integer N results from multiplying n with another integer
Prime number
Integer only divisible by itself and one (0 and 1 are not prime numbers)
