Name strategies to refute
A
- compromise (to a specific extent they are right/ they have a point in thinking like that)
- completely disagree (after saying facts no way it is true)
- say their arguments are irrelevant
- refute their point by giving cons (the alternatives have problem (too many complaints/ have to live in hospital/ takes too much time)

How should the topic sentence look like?
A
- tells the reader the idea which will be discussed
- Supporter(advocator) of medical treatment argue that medicine should be used since it is effective and scientifically
- Opponents of alternative healing methods also claim that serious illnesses such as HIV/Aids and cancer cannot be treated without drugs
- Some people may still maintain that in our material world, every thing depends on time

How is the introductory paragraph build?
A
- gets the reader’s attention, convinces the reader that the topic is important, and leads the reader to the thesis statement:
- hook -> a famous quote, a story, a surprising fact, or a statistic about the issue
- background information-> explains the issue, its importance
- thesis statement-> this new theory argues that healing is at our fingertips: we can be healthy by doing … on a regular basis (point of view without explaining)
