Q

Three points of analysis about the Temple of Artemis’ Pediment at Corcyra?

A

580 BC
- Awkward three quarter turn to gorgon medusa is clearly archaic
- issue with size partially resolved by the medusa being a god and therefore huge but then foiled by the overly large corpses in the end.
- Good use of monstrous quadrupeds to fill scale, but there is a break down in theme.
