Notes on ARBs
A
- Less effect in AA
- Blocks action of angiotensin II
- ARBs have diuretic effect and increase hyperkalemia
ARBs can cause renal failure with renal stenosis or 1 kidney because reduce renal blood flow bc angiotensin blocked and arterioles dilate and further reduce blood flow
