A

Few/Well Tolerated

  • Hypotension
  • NVD
  • Headache
  • DIzziness
  • Hyperkalemia
  • Peripheral Edema
  • Rash
  • Cough and angioedema

Notes on ARBs

A
  • Less effect in AA
  • Blocks action of angiotensin II
  • ARBs have diuretic effect and increase hyperkalemia

ARBs can cause renal failure with renal stenosis or 1 kidney because reduce renal blood flow bc angiotensin blocked and arterioles dilate and further reduce blood flow
