Dominion of New England
1686, King James II established a royal province that would have combined the colonies of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts Bay, Plymouth, New York, and New Jersey into a single, enormous colony while also abolishing their assemblies and other charter privileges. The Glorious Revolution of 1688, which removed James from the throne, failed James’ system.
South Atlantic System
a new economic structure that produced rice, sugar, tobacco, and other tropical products under the control of European planter-merchants and thousands of slaves from Africa.

the brutal sea voyage from Africa to the Americas that took the lives of nearly two million enslaved Africans.
Navigation Acts
In order to assist English merchants, shippers, and mariners, English rules passed between the years 1650 and 1660 required that specific items produced in English colonies must be transported through English ports on English ships controlled mostly by English sailors

Problems of Increasing Population-freeholds
Not enough land for overgrowing population in NEW England - caused familial issues and more led to people resorting to having smaller families and such.
