What is a residency?
Post professional program that occurs after the graduate physical therapist has obtained his/her license
What are the minimum hours required for a residency?
The residency program must be completed with a minimum of 1,500 hours and in no fewer than 9 months and no more than 36 months
What must all residents have?
All residents must have a minimum number of hours of 1:1 mentoring and didactic instruction over the course of the program
What is a fellowship?
Post-professional program, applicants must already have a specialty certification, have completed a residency, or have demonstrable clinical skills in a specialty area
When must the fellowship be completed?
The fellowship must be completed within a minimum of 1,000 hours and in no fewer than six (6) months and no more than 36 months.
