Strengths
A
- views the person as a active agent, able to control and determine their own behaviour
- the subjective experience of a person is of value and importance
- PCT is applicable today
- promotes free will as opposed to determinism

Weaknesses
A
- hard to falsify, they lack predictive power & are therefore unscientific.
- lack of empirical support
- individual emotions and consciousness are difficult to study objectively.
- ignores cultural constraints.
