What is Applciations Software?
programs that allow the user or hardware to carry out tasks or provide useful outputs which could have had to be done with a computer
a complete collection of compatible pieces of software that contains electronic or hard copy user documentation describing the software to the user
desgined to be used by end-user to perform one specific task
What does Applications Software require?
Systems software is required in order for it to run
systems software is a low-level software responsible for running the computer system smoothly, interacting with hardware and generally providing a platform for applications software to run. user does not directly interact with systems software by it ensures high performance for the user
