Define application software
Software that allows users to produce a digital product or carry out specific tasks which are not related to the operating system.
What are the 3 ways application software can be installed in to your device?
They can be downloaded off of a server on the internet.
In smartphones and tablets, some operating systems give users access to app stores off of which applications can be downloaded.
Apps can also me downloaded of storage media such as DVD disks
How are the app stores regulated by certain operating systems of those devices.
They only make the apps available to the users after the store has checked the quality off the app and ensured that app does not contain any harmful code that can do damage to the device or its data.
What does office productivity software do?
It allows the users to carry out work related tasks and are often available in the form of an application suite.
What does word processing software allow the user to do?
Create documents that mainly consist of words and a few images as well.
What are the 6 other things word processing software can include?
Tables, equations, simple drawings, shapes and charts and hyperlinks.
What are the 4 things that can word processing software be used to create?
Books, essays, reports and letters
What are the 6 features of word processing software?
- Some software allow multiple users to work on the same document TOGETHER.
- Comments can be added to the text so that others can understand the writers intentions and give feedbacks.
-Some software can track changes made to the document and give others the option to accept or reject those changes. - They also allow the user to change the font.
-They provide different layout views to allow users to position text and images on the page.
They also come with grammar and spelling checker tools that identifies errors in the text as the user types.
Define application suite
A collection of applications that share the same look and user interface, often they can share data with each other and they share some functionality.

A link that can be clicked in order to go to another location (often a web page on the internet)

You can work with more complicated page layouts.

- The messages can include video, animations, images and audio.

It does require an internet connection.
