Q

How does Calisept function?

A

Stimulates Root End Closure via Hertwig’s Epithelial Root Sheath (HERS)

Also pH 12.4 –> Bactericidal

Q

Apexification technique with Calasept

A

Working length = 2mm short of apex

Recall 3mo to check for calcific barrier –> if not, redo CaOH Q3mo

Q

MTA vs Calisept

A

1) more studies on MTA
2) better apical tissue regeneration
3) better histological outcome
4) better clinical success rate
5) worse handling
