AP101 Flashcards
Human Factors
HF is concerned with optimizing the relationship between humans and their activites.
What does the S in the shell model stand for and what does it include?
Software, it includes rules, regulations, policies, guidance, regulations, and software such as computer software.
What does the H in the shell model stand for?
Hardware, it includes equipment, material, and physical assets
What does the E in the shell model stand for?
Environment, it includes where the human operates such as the cockpit, weather systems around you
What does the first L in the shell model stand for?
Liveware, it includes the human element
What does the second L in the shell model stand for?
Liveware-Liveware Interface, ATC coordination, pilot to pilot coordination, human to human interaction
When changing through different spheres in the atmosphere, what mainly changes?
Pressure
Pressure and density decrease exponentially as altitude increases, T/F?
True
The partial pressures of each type of gas in the atmosphere changes with changes in density, altitude and pressure, T/F?
False, the partial pressure (or composition) of the atmosphere remains constant.
What is standard atmosphere readings?
29.92 InHg / 760 mmHg at 15 degrees Celsius
At what altitude do dry gases double in size?
FL180
What is the composition of the atmosphere?
78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, and 1% other gases to include about 0.03% CO2
Is there a less or greater complexity today due to the advancement in technology in regards to Human Factors?
Greater Complexity
What is the standard temperature lapse rate up to 35,000 ft?
2 degrees C per 1000 ft
The human body is adapted to which physiological division of the atmosphere?
The physiological zone?
