AP Vspeeds Flashcards
What is Vr
Rotation speed
What is V1
Decision speed
What is Vlof
When the main wheels leave the ground, and you enter airborne section of T/O
What is Vef
Engine failure. The worst point to have an engine failure.
What is V2 ?
Speed you need to be at at screen height (35ft)
What is VMaxTyre
The maximum speed of the tyre on the ground during T/O roll
What is V2min
Minimum speed you need to achieve at screen height with positive climb and if critical engine failed
What is VMc
Minimum control speed with critical engine inoperative
What is Vmbe
Minimum brake energy speed. Is the fastest speed which brake energy can be converted from kinetic to heat energy
What speeds are called out in the flight deck ?
80/100kts, V1, Vr, V2
What is Vstop speed ?
The maximum speed which an aircraft can reject a take off. Conditions dependent
What is Vgo speed ?
The minimum T/O speed which you can go go go go
What is Vmu ?
Minimum unstick speed. Speed which you can safely rotating without stalling. But is linked to thrust and air density.
