In writing or a speech, the deliberate repetition of the first part of the sentence in order to achieve an artistic effect known as Anaphora. Oldest literary device.
Anaphora
Derived from a Greek word that means “turning upon.” which indicates the same word returns at the end of each sentence. Stylistic device defined as repetition.
Epistrophe
Derived from a Greek word, “unconnected,” stylistic device, intentionally eliminate conjunctions between phrases.
Asyndeton
Greek word meaning “Bond Together,” it makes use of coordinating conjunctions like “and,” “or,” “but,” and “nor,” (mostly “and” and “or”) used in succession of words, phrases, or clauses, even where they might be omitted.
Polysyndeton
Literary device in which a part represents the whole or it may use a whole to represent a part.
-“Bread” may refer to food or money, “Writing is my bread and butter.”
Synecdoche
Attitude of the author toward a subject.
Tone
Step by step breakdown of the phases of a process used to convey the details of each phase of thinking.
Process Analysis
Set of rules in a language. Dictates how words from different parts of speech are put together in order to convey a complete thought in plain English. Refers to how we choose to arrange our words, diction.
Syntax
Choice of words, purposeful, meant to provoke or excite or stimulate a rhetoric argument.
Provocative Diction
The action of classifying something according to shared characteristics or qualities. Strategy of argumentation.

Choice of words, meant to accentuate meaning and tone.
