What is a workforce plan?
The process in which a business can examine its current workforce, forecast future workforce needs, and identify gaps in the market
What are human resources?
This is when an employee leaves a business. A job becomes vacant. But before hiring a business must identify its staffing needs.
What are the job analysis and job design methods
- The observation method (observing workers but can be timely)
- Interview method (interviewed by a human resource manager)
- Questionnaires (Employees are asked to write answers to questions about their job)
- Critical incident technique (examining the events leading up to the incident, the actions then taken by the staff member, and the degree of control the staff member had)

What is the job analysis?
The study of employees in order to determine the duties performed, the time involved within these duties, the responsibility involved and the equipment involved. This should be done before recruiting staff.

What is job design?
This is the process of organising several duties, tasks and responsibility of a role
What is the job description?
Written statement describing what the employee will do in the job.
What is job specifications?
A list of the key qualifications needed to perform a particular job in terms of education, skills, knowledge and levels of experience.
