Mitigated Imperative
Using modal verbs in an imperative to not impose on someone and mitigate the command

Used to mitigate imperatives e.g. ‘Would you…’
Floor length/ Turns
Amount of time someone talks for
Longer floor length for someone of higher power
Face Threatening Act
An utterance that upsets someone and suggest we don’t agree with them etc…

Depending on occupation/ position different registers are used
