Panic Disorder
ONSET: at least 1 month of fear of having another AND avoid things that they think will cause another
- experiences panic attacks
- ongoing fear of having a panic attack
Agoraphobia
ONSET: needs to be present for at least 6 months
FEAR: of at least 2 of 5 situations
1) taking bus
2) crowds
3) going outside
4) shopping
5) leaving the house
- spaces or being out in public
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
OBSESSIONS: repetitive thoughts, images that are disturbing or inappropriate
- causes marked impairment
- perseverating
- person recognizes obsessive thinking
AND/OR
COMPULSIONS: repetitive behaviors
- acts that must be done as a result of the obsession
- behaviors aimed at reducing distress
- has awareness that these things are unreasonable
Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder
- pervasive pattern of pre-occupation with orderliness, perfection, control
- a perfectionist, detail oriented, organized
- hard time delegating
- inflexible
- does not repeat
- does not have an awareness of problem
