Phobia definition
Marked and persistent, irrational fear of objects, situations, phenomenas

- Generalized social phobia (occur early age and in most situations)
- Simple social phobia (around 20 yrs old, affects 1-2 social activities)

Obsessions definition
“The thoughts” Recurrent and persistant thoughts, impulses or images which are intrusive, inappropriate and cause marked anxiety or distress
Compulsions definition
“The actions”
Repetitive behaviour that the person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession or according to rules.
Aim is to reduce anxiety caused by the obsession

- Genetical
- Neurobiological: orbitofrontalis cortex, cingulum, caudate nucleus
