Q

Xanthine Oxidase Inhibitors
Allopurinol and febuxostat
pharmacodynamics

A

decrease uric acid level by selevtively inhibiting xanthine oxidase wich is the enzyme responsible for the conversion of hypoxanthine to xanthine to uric acid. uric acid then decreased, reducing the risk of crystallization and therefor a gout attack
