Q

What are self and non self antigens?

Q

What are Macrophages?

A

They can punch holes in the bacteria or stick proteins to the outside of the bacteria to make the more appealing for the Neutrophils to destroy

Q

What is the first step o Phagocytosis?

A

Pathogen is recognised by having a non self antigens. Pathogen attaches to the phagocytes by surface receptors

Q

What is the second step of Phagocytosis?

Q

What is the third step of Phagocytosis?

A

Lysosomes fuse to phagosome to form a phagolysosome and release H2O2, HCL and digestive enzymes into phagosome to digest pathogen
