-absorbed best in acidic conditions, so avoid antacids, PPIs, H2 inhibitors for 2 hours before and after

Truvada | antiretroviral, nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) ## Footnote -adherence is important -may be taken with or without food -may cause decrease in bone density, fat redistribution, lactic acidosis, hepatomegaly, renal toxicity -approved for PrEP in those with HIV-positive partners, needs regular testing every 3 months
