Actions taken to guard friendly forces from attack or disruption by enemy forces. In anti-air warfare it concerns those actions taken to defend the MAFTG against enemy air and missile attacks
What are the two primary purposes for anti-air warfare
Force protection and air superiority
what separates the two is how the outcome is achieved
Air superiority with in anti-air warfare
The degree of dominance in the air battle of one force over another. It permits the conduct of operations by the former in relation to land, sea, and air forces at a given time and place. It is without prohibitive interference by the opposing force.
