I- Superior medial tibia
N- Femoral nerve
A- Flexes, abducts, and laterally rotates thigh, flexes leg (knee)
Psoas Major (+ Iliacus= Iliopsoas)
O- Transverse processes, intervertebral discs, and bodies of T12-L5
I- Lesser trochanter of femur
N- L1-L3
A- flexes thigh and/or trunk
Iliacus
+ Psoas Major= Iliopsoas
O- Superior 2/3 of iliac fossa
I- Lesser trochanter of femur
N- Femoral nerve
A- Flexes thigh and stabilizes hip joint

O- Anterior inferior iliac spine and ilium
I- Base of patella
N- Femoral nerve
A- Extends leg (knee), flexes thigh
Vastus Lateralis (Antigravity Muscle)
O- Greater trochanter and lateral linea aspera
I- Base of patella
N- Femoral nerve
A- Extends leg (knee)
Vastus Intermedius (Antigravity Muscle)
O- Anterior and lateral surface of shat of femur
I- Base of patella

O- Intertrochanteric line and medial linea aspera
I- Base of patella
