Action: flex and abduct wrist
Palmaris longus
Origin: medial epicondyle
Insertion: flexor retinaculum and palmar aponeurosis
Innervation: median nerve
Action: flexes hand at wrist. Tightens palmar aponeurosis
Flexor digitorum superficialis
Origin: medial epicondyle of humerus
Insertion: middle phalanges of medial four digits
Innervation: median nerve
Action: flexes middle phalanges at PIP joint
Flexor carpi ulnaris
Origin: medial epicondyle
Insertion: 5th metacarpal
Innervation: ulnar nerve
Action: flexes and adducts wrist
Flexor digitorum profundus
Origin: medial and ant surface of ulna
Insertion: distal phalanges of medial 4 digits
Innervation: median nerve (lat part-last 2 digits) ulnar nerve (medial part- medial 2 digits)
Action: flexes distal phalanges at DIP joints
Flexor pollicus (thumb) longus
Origin: ant radius and interphase us membrane
Insertion: distal phalanx of thumb
Innervation: median nerve
Function: flexes phalanges of thumb
Pronate quadratus
Origin: distal ant ulna
Insertion: distal ant radius
Innervation: median nerve
Action: primates forearm
