Annunciators Flashcards
LH or RH ENGINE
FIRE
PUSH
Indicates fire loop detects temperature approximately 500°F (fire or overheat).
Pushing FIRE switchlight:
1. Closes Associated Fuel Firewall Shutoff Valve
2. Closes Associated Hydraulic Firewall Shutoff Valve
3. Closes Affected Engine’s Thrust Reverser Isolation Valve
4. Arms Both Fire Extinguisher Bottles And Illuminates Both White Bottle Armed Push Lights
5. Opens Affected Engine’s Generator Field Relay
F/W
SHUTOFF
LH or RH
Operated by the ENGINE FIRE switchlights, illumination indicates the respective fuel and hydraulic firewall shutoff valves are closed and the generator field relay is tripped.
ARM
Indicates isolation valve is open and system is pressurized.
UNLOCK
Indicates thrust reverser is not fully stowed. Reverser doors are unlocked. Light on in flight triggers Master
Warning.
DEPLOY
Indicates thrust reverser is fully deployed.
LO OIL
PRESS
LH or RH
Indicates oil pressure is below safe limits (40 PSI) on designated engine. An independent sensor
drives the oil pressure gauge.
Also triggers the Red MASTER WARNING.
GROUND
IDLE
Illumination indicates fuel control is in ground idle mode
(46.5% turbine RPM). Engine acceleration from ground idle may be slow.
FUEL
BOOST ON
LH or RH
Illumination indicates fuel boost pump is turned on by:
- Low Fuel Pressure
- Crossfeed Operations
- Engine Start
- Manual Boost Pump Switch
FUEL LOW
PRESS
LH or RH
Illumination indicates fuel pressure is low. The low fuel pressure switch (5 PSI) will activate the associated boost pump to on if the boost pump switch is in the NORM position
FUEL FLTR
BYPASS
LH or RH
Illumination indicates designated fuel filter is
contaminated and that an actual or impending bypass condition exists.
Consider the possibility of partial or total loss of both engines
FUEL LOW
LEVEL
LH or RH
Indicates fuel quantity, as determined by a float switch,
is below ≈ 185 lbs of useable fuel in designated tank.
BATT
O’ TEMP
Steady illumination indicates battery temp is
between 145°F and 160°F Flashing illumination
indicates battery temp exceeds 160°F
Also triggers the Red MASTER WARNING.
GEN
OFF
LH or RH
Indicates the designated generator power relay is open.
Loss of BOTH generators triggers the Red MASTER
WARNING.
AC
FAIL
LH or RH
AC BUS is below 90vac and above 130vac.
Also triggers the Red MASTER WARNING
INVERTER
FAIL
Indicates the loss of power from designated inverter.
Failure of either inverter triggers the AC FAIL annunciator, which triggers the Red MASTER WARNING.
CAB ALT
10000 FT
Indicates cabin pressure altitude is above 10,000 ft.
Also triggers the Red MASTER WARNING lights
EMER
PRESS ON
Indicates emergency pressurization is either on
from manual selection or automatic activation by ACM
shutdown or failure.
BLD AIR
GND
Indicates a high flow rate of bleed air is selected from the right engine for ACM ground operations; pressurization source selector is in GND.
Annunciator must be extinguished before takeoff.
AIR DUCT
O’HEAT
Indicates temperature in the duct past the ACM leading to the cabin exceeds 157°C.
