Gastocnemius
O - medial head - surface of femur above medial condyle
- Lateral head - lateral condyle of femur
I- posterior aspect of the calcaneus
A- PF foot at ankle
Soleus
O- head and upper 1/4 of fibula, soleal line and medial border of tibia.
I- posterior aspect of calcaneus
A - PF foot at ankle
Plantaris
O - lateral supracondylar line of femur
I - medial edge of posterior aspect of calcaneus
A - PF foot at ankle, Flex knee
Tibialis Posterior
O - Posteriolateral tibia, proximal half of fibula, interosseus membrane
I - Navicular tuberosity, tarsal bones except for talus (calcaneus, cuboid, navicular, cunieform 1-3
A - stabilises medial arch, inversion of foot.
Flexor Hallucis longus
O - lower 2/3 posterior fibular, interroseous membrane ,
I - distal phalanx of hallux
A - PF hallux
Flexor Digitorium Longus
O - posterior aspect of tibia, below soleal line
I - Distal phalanx 2-5
A - PF lesser toes
Popliteus
O - Lateral
