Q

What is Achilles tendinopathy

A

2 types- non Insertional and insertional

Insertional- involves the lower portion of the heel where the tendon inserts into the calcaneous
Bony spurs often form

Q

What is severs disease

A

Painful inflammation of the calcaneal apophysis caused by repetitive micro trauma on the unossified apophysis due to traction of the Achilles tendon
