Q

What is simple behaviour and how does it work?

A

Simple behaviour is the reflex response to a stimulus, a change in the environment of an organism, it by passes thought and is involuntary so therefore is rapid. Because of this it is used by simple animals as the majority of their behaviour to help them survive

Q

What are examples of simple behaviour reflexes in humans and animals?

A

In humans reactions include pupil reflex, knee jerk and letting go of a hot object. Animals use reflex responses to find food and shelter from predators

Q

What makes up a nervous co-ordination? (Stimulus to response)

A
Receptors to detect stimuli,
Sensory neurons to carry the impulse,
Processing center to coordinate (brain etc.),
Motor neuron to carry impulse,

Q

What are hormones and how are responses different to nervous systems responses?
